Works great - not ultra silent : Broan QTRE100S Ultra Silent Humidity Sensing Fans with Sensaire Technology
I've never felt strongly sufficient about a purchased goods to write a lengthy review... This is different.. We all read the marketing hype and Hope it comes close... This unit makes good on all it's claims... This fan was easy to install (it is much larger than a appropriate fan so the ceiling opportunity had to be expanded).... The wiring diagram was simple to understand and nothing "fancy" was necessary... i did seal up all "extra" holes/seams in the housing with Aluminum duct tape before installation. It took an extra 10 minutes or so.. The results speak for themselves.
In operation, the fan is very quiet... Yes, you can hear it running, however it's not "ultra Silent"....However it's not an issue at all... The fan does sense humidity and comes on as advertised... It shuts off after 20 minutes (if the humidity source (e.g., shower) is over... It even senses the humidy of a bath being drawn.
A simple off/on operation of the wall switch turns it on for "instant on" demands...
The Very Best thing about this fan is it positively Works! It removes the humidity from the room... Despite the primary fan running, it didn't clear the mirror of condensation (at all)... I did verify it was clean and operating normally... It was just not good sufficient to do the job...I all the time had to wipe the mirror off.
The new Broan Qtre100S does the job perfectly.. Every time... This is a great goods and is a fabulous value.
